It's hard for me to steer away from french manicures, light pink, pastel, and red nail polish. However, when the polish color is as pretty as Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue I no doubt had to try it. I do feel a little strange with such a dark but vibrant color on my nails but it's still such an awesome color. Pacific Blue only required two coats for complete opacity and the best part is that it only costs around $3.

The Olympics 2012
Although I absolutely love beauty and fashion, I love sports. So every time the Olympics role around, you can find me glued to the TV. Last night I watched the opening ceremony. I enjoyed watching the athletes from each country parade through the arena. There are so many great events but I'm most excited to watch gymnastic and diving events.

Summer Dressing
Shorts are great but nothing beats wearing a dress in the hot summer months. Dresses are so easy to wear because you don't have to worry about matching your top to your shorts! Just throw on a dress and you're out the door...
Make your dress appropriate year round with just a few add ons
Spring - Throw on a light cardigan
Fall - Pair your dress with some tights, boots, and a cardigan
Winter - Add some tights, boots, jacket, and a scarf
Summer - Just add sandals and a cute accessory and you're good to go |

Trend SPOTting
Fall fashions are already rolling in - and it's only midway through summer! Just the way the crazy fashion world works. Nonetheless, I'm already having fun scouting up and coming trends. One trend that I've noticed are spots. Look at these leather goods from Comme de Garcons....
Even Louis Vuitton purses are spotting some spots! Louis Vuitton recently partnered with Japanese artists, Yayoi Kusama.
My Opinion - It's a fun look but it's definitely not for me.

Mac Sable
Earlier in the week I talked about finding the right colors for you. This is very important especially when it comes to makeup. I always thought the Mac's Satin Taupe eyeshadow was gorgeous but I realized it didn't look too good on my skin and that's because it's a cold tone grayish color. I opted for something warmer and I found Mac's Sable eyeshadow. On lazy days I love to swipe this color all over my lid and head out the door.
So if you're cool toned Satin Taupe is great for you and if you're warm toned Sable is great for you!

Essie Fiji
I've been really into nail design and nail polish recently. I love fun patterns, glitter, and even fake nails (sometimes) but nothing beats a nice classic nail. I think Essie's Fiji is so classic and just so cute looking. Also, it looks super great on all skin tones - especially tan skin! I need to get my hands on a bottle!

What Tone are You?
It's very important to know what tone you are. And by tone, I'm talking about undertones. Are you warm or cool toned? I happen to be warm toned so warm colors like gold and peach really compliment my skin. I try to steer clear from cool toned red lipsticks which are distinguishable by their blueish tinge and instead I opt warm toned red lipsticks that are more on the coral side.
What Tone Are You? Figuring out your tone is simple! Take a piece of fabric, I find that silver and cold pieces work best, and hold it up against your body in the mirror. If you look better in silver then colors like blue are great for you. If gold better compliments your skin then warm colors like orange are great for you! Make sure to test in natural light.
